1. Izincazelo zezibani zesignali zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo ezifanele
a. Isiqhingi Sethrafikhi: Izakhiwo ezahlukene ezimise okwesiqhingi ezakhiwe emgwaqweni ukuze zinike abahamba ngezinyawo indawo yokuma nokuwela umgwaqo.
b. Isibonakaliso Sokuwela Umgwaqo: Izibani zesibonakaliso zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo zibonisa imibala emibili: obomvu noluhlaza okotshani. Obomvu buyisibonisi esibomvu esiqhubekayo. Oluhlaza kungaba isibonisi esiluhlaza okotshani esiqhubekayo noma isibonisi esiluhlaza okotshani esikhanyayo.
c. I-Crosswalk Signal Flashing Green: Indlela yokubonisa ekhombisa ukuthi isibani esiluhlaza sesizophela.
d. Ukuwela Ngezinyathelo Ezimbili: Indlela lapho abahambi ngezinyawo kudingeka balinde kanye noma ngaphezulu esiqhingini sokuphepha esiphakathi nomgwaqo ukuze bawele umgwaqo.
2. Imibandela Yokufaka Izibani Zesignali Zokuwela Abahamba Ngezinyawo
Ezigabeni zomgwaqo lapho kuphawulwe khona imigqa yokuwela yabahamba ngezinyawo, izibani zesignali zokuwela kwabahamba ngezinyawo kufanele zifakwe uma kuhlangatshezwana nenye yalezi zimo ezilandelayo:
a) Uma ukuhamba kwezimoto nabantu abahamba ngezinyawo ngesikhathi esiphezulu esigabeni somgwaqo kudlula amanani achazwe kuThebula 1, kufanele kufakwe izibani zezimpawu zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo kanye nezibani zezibonakaliso zezimoto ezifanele.
b) Uma ukuhamba kwezimoto okumaphakathi ngehora kwezimoto nabahamba ngezinyawo kunoma yisiphi isikhathi samahora ayisishiyagalombili alandelanayo kudlula inani elibekiwe, izimpawu zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo kanye nezimpawu zezimoto ezihambisanayo kufanele zifakwe.

c) Uma ingxenye yomgwaqo ihlangabezana nenye yalezi zimo ezilandelayo mayelana nezingozi zomgwaqo, kufanele kufakwe izimpawu zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo kanye nezimpawu zezimoto ezihambisanayo: Ingxenye yomgwaqo lapho kuye kwenzeka khona izingozi zomgwaqo ezilinganiselwa kwezinhlanu noma ngaphezulu ngonyaka eminyakeni emithathu edlule, futhi izingozi bezingagwenywa ngokufaka izimpawu zomgwaqo ngokusekelwe ekuhlaziyweni kwezimbangela zezingozi; Ingxenye yomgwaqo lapho kuye kwenzeka khona isilinganiso sengozi eyodwa noma ngaphezulu ezibulalayo ngonyaka eminyakeni emithathu edlule.
3. Ukufakwa kwezibani zesignali zokuwela abahambi ngezinyawo (i-Secondary Crossing Lights)
Izimpawu zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo (ukuwela kwesibili) kufanele zifakwe ezimpambanweni zemigwaqo nasezigabeni zomgwaqo ezihlangabezana nenye yalezi zimo ezilandelayo:
a) Ezimpambanweni zomgwaqo nasezigabeni zomgwaqo ezine-median ephakathi (kufaka phakathi izindawo zokudlula ngaphansi), uma ububanzi obuphakathi bungaphezu kuka-1.5m, izimpawu zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo kufanele zengezwe ku-median (bheka uMfanekiso A.3);
b) Uma ubude bokuwela kwabahamba ngezinyawo bungu-16m noma ngaphezulu, izimpawu zokuwela kwabahamba ngezinyawo kufanele zengezwe enkabeni yomgwaqo; ezindaweni zokuwela zabahamba ngezinyawo ezingaphansi kuka-16m ubude, izimpawu ezengeziwe zingafakwa njengoba kufanele.
4. Izibani Zesignali Zokuwela Abahamba Ngezinyawo Ezigabeni Ezikhethekile Zomgwaqo
Izindawo zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo phambi kwezikole, izinkulisa, izibhedlela, kanye nezindawo zokuhlala ezinakekela asebekhulile kufanele zifakwe izimpawu zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo kanye nezibani zezimoto ezihambisanayo.
5. Ukufakwa Kwedivayisi Yesignali Yokuzwa
Amadivayisi esignali azwakalayo angafakwa ezimpawini zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo, kuye ngezimo.
Uma kufakwa amadivayisi esignali yokuzwa, izinhlobo zomsindo eziphindaphindayo ezenziwe ngogesi ziyathandwa. Imvamisa yamadivayisi esignali yokuzwa kufanele isethwe izikhathi ezingu-70-80/min ezibanini ezibomvu kanye nezikhathi ezingu-700-800/min ezibanini eziluhlaza eziqhubekayo. Izibani eziluhlaza ezikhanyayo zikhipha umsindo ozwakalayo ngesikhathi sokukhanya okuluhlaza, ngemvamisa efanayo nesigaba sokukhanya okuluhlaza okuqhubekayo, futhi azikhiphi umsindo ozwakalayo ngesikhathi sokukhanya okuluhlaza okungaphandle.
Isibani esisodwa somgwaqo akufanele sibe namadivayisi esignali azwakalayo abonisa izinkomba ezimbili.
6. Ukufakwa Kwezibani Zesignali Zesixwayiso Ezikhanyayo
Ezimpambanweni noma ezingxenyeni zemigwaqo yasedolobheni lapho kupendwe khona izimpawu zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo kodwa kungahlangatshezwana nemibandela yokufaka izibani zezimpawu zokuwela izimoto nabahamba ngezinyawo, kufanele kufakwe izibani zezibonakaliso ezikhanyayo nezinye izimpawu zesilumkiso.
Siyakwamukela ku-Qixiang, aumhlinzeki wezibani zesignali yethrafikhi ngobuningiethengisa izimpawu zokuwela abahamba ngezinyawo ezisezingeni eliphezulu. Sinamanani aphansi, imikhiqizo esezingeni eliphezulu, izixazululo ezenziwe ngokwezifiso, kanye nokulethwa okusheshayo emhlabeni wonke.
